Ive dined out a lot since Ive been in UK, in bistos, restaurants and pubs.I recently shared a great dining experience with my family at the Guy Fawkes Scotton. From the time we were greeted, to the paying of the bill, the service was spot on. The culmination of an A1 front of house service great food, and presentation seems to be a rarity- but not here. Fab pub! Cosy ambience! Great beer and superb food. Staff are excellent....fantastic service with a smile all through the evening. Delicious starters and mains. We were sorry we couldn't manage a dessert..next time. Highly recommend this pub/ restaurant!
Been to eat several times, really good meal each time. We were quite loud last time as well due to a family celebration - unfortunately for everyone else but its normally quite a quiet nice place to eat, really friendly atmosphere. Book or you won't get in easily.
Had a meal and drinks here for a large family get together. Nice olde worldwide pub cosy atmosphere, good service and quality choice menu to suit most tastes, I had the seafood platter as starter and the game platter as a main. Both were well presented and enjoyable.Parking maybe an issue if it's busy as there are very limited parking spaces available as it's a very small car park.Overall we enjoyed our visit and plan to visit again very soon.
1st time here for Sunday lunch. Friendly waiting staff, good food with large portions. However, it took a little over 2 hours from sitting down to paying the bill which is just too long for me. I dare say some folk enjoy a long leisurely Sunday lunch but waiting ages between courses isn't for me. Probably will not visit again because of this. Bizarrely, the Christmas decorations seemed have been left up on all the conniving which just seemed odd in September.
